1. James Cameron was born in Kapuskasing, Ontario on August 16th, 1954. However, his family moved to Fullerton, California when he was 17 years old.

2. After graduating from college, Cameron went on to work as a truck driver, machinist, and even an animal control officer in order to save money for film school.

3. In 1980 his first feature-length movie was released: Xenogenesis (also known as Galaxy of Terror). It was a low-budget science fiction horror movie that Cameron wrote and directed.

4. After directing the sci-fi horror flick Piranha II: The Spawning, Cameron got his big break in 1984 when he was hired to direct The Terminator.

5. In 1991, James Cameron released his highest grossing box office hit yet with Terminator 2: Judgment Day. It earned over $520 million worldwide and won four Academy Awards.
