The Kaczynski trial, conducted at the federal courthouse in Las Vegas on April 22nd, 1996, was a landmark case. In it, Theodore “Ted” Kaczynski pled guilty to numerous felonies stemming from his “Unabomber” campaign of sending letter bombs through the mail over a period of 17 years. The plea agreement called for life imprisonment without parole rather than seek the death penalty. As part of this historic event, here are 10 facts about Las Vegas that you may not know:
